In early morning, your tour guide and driver will meet you at the hotel lobby then escorts you on this full day excursion to discover the remote temples of Preah Vihear Temple, Koh Ker and Beng Mealea.
We will firstly drive northward of Siem Reap to Preah Vihear Temple. This magnificent temple was built during the period of the Khmer Empire and situated atop of a 525m (1,722 ft) mountain cliff at the border of Cambodia and Thailand. After this temple was rediscovered and became subject of an emotional dispute between Thailand and Cambodia. From the mountain cliff, you will have a great view of plain in Cambodia, and the mountains on Thailand side.
Continue you trip to Koh Ker Temple, one of the ancient capitals of the Angkor civilization. The pyramid style temple Prasat Thom stands out in the midst of lush jungle. After climbing up to the top, you will have a great panoramic view of the surrounding terrain.
Next, visit the jungle-clad Beng Mealea Temple. The ruins were lost in the jungle for many centuries but recently uncovered and open for exploration. However, it still keeps most of its rustic charm as when it was first discovered.
