Paradise Prestige Cruise – Be The Envy of Your Friends
November 07, 2017
With almost 2,000 ancient islands peaking above the sparkling, turquoise waters, it is safe to say that Halong Bay is a must-visit destination for all visitors to this beautiful and surprising country and a 3-day-2-night cruise on the Paradise Prestige Cruise Halong Bay is one of the very best ways to do justice to this region. Most visitors to Halong Bay will stay onboard a cruise ship for one or two nights, and while that might be enough on lower-quality ships, passengers of the Paradise Prestige will find it hard to tear themselves away. Fortunately, it is also possible to create tailored itineraries to charter the Paradise Prestige for a longer period of time.
Activities on Paradise Prestige Cruise Halong Bay
You won’t spend the entire duration of your cruise just gazing in wonder at the ancient rock formations and the serene seas, there are also plenty of activities and sights to see within Halong Bay including jaw-dropping caverns as well as fascinating and absorbing encounters with the local people of the floating villages. Sung Sot Cave is probably the most famous site within Halong Bay, often going by the nickname of “Surprise Cave” as the scale of the cave will take you by surprise as you emerge into the cavernous hall. Although there are numerous other caves dotted throughout Halong Bay, this is the largest and most striking. Passengers of the Paradise Prestige will also visit the more serene Thien Canh Son Cave, which draws smaller crowds but is no less impressive and a short climb is rewarded with excellent views from the cliff top of the surrounding jungle and the sea below before you enter the cave.
But the best views of Halong Bay are found on Titop Island, an island with Halong Bay’s only beach. Fortunately, all those traveling on the Paradise Prestige cruise ship will spend a relaxing afternoon here where you can snorkel, sunbathe, relax with a refreshing beer on the golden sands or climb the steps up to the hilltop. It is short, but fairly steep, climb but you will be delighted you attempted it when you reach the summit. This is the very best view of the entire bay! You can enjoy 360-degree views of Halong Bay and with the giant rock islands emerging out of the water in all directions, as far as they see can see, you can marvel at the size of the area.
Families will no doubt be excited for the chance to hop into the complimentary kayaks and to explore some of Halong Bay’s islands at close hand. Paradise Prestige cruise also offers the unique opportunity to discover the lives of the people who live in Halong Bay’s traditional fishing villages. There are four floating villages in the bay with around 1,600 people living in these communities and passengers can visit Vông Viêng to learn more about their daily lives which have remained largely unchanged for generations. This visit is a fascinating chance to find out more about Halong Bay and the people who call it home.
Upon returning from these activities passengers will surely want to unwind in the ship’s spa which offers a full range of relaxing massages and reenergizing treatments, guaranteed to soothe any aches or pains and leave you feeling refreshed before dinner.
