Welcome to Thailand! Upon arrival in Bangkok, you will board a connecting flight to Koh Samui. Our guide and driver will pick up from the airport in Koh Samui to the pier where you’ll join a ferry transfer to Koh Phangan. Our guide there will pick up you and continue to your resort for check-in.

Day 5: Koh Samui – Phuket | Flight to Phuket | Relax on the Beaches

In the morning, our guide and driver will transfer you to the pier where you’ll join a ferry transfer back to Koh Samui. Our guide and driver will pick up you and transfer to the airport. Continue to Phuket by a morning flight. Upon arrival, our guide and driver will meet and greet you and continue to the hotel for check-in.
North of the resort is two sandy beaches facing the Andaman Sea, Kata Beach just downhill, and Karon Beach a bit further North. Kata Hill is a scenic spot just a mile North of your resort. Further North a ways are Freedom Beach – a quiet secluded beach in an alcove that is a bit off the beaten path. Head North a little further and you’ll be at Patong Beach – a popular beach destination on Phuket Island. There are many restaurants, hangouts, and bars around Patong Beach. You might also find a gym on your own to try your hand at a lesson in Thai Boxing.

Day 6: Phuket | Sea Caves by Starlight

World-famous kayaking inside marine limestone karst islands with macaques, water monitors, kingfishers, and Sea Eagles. Meet at the hotel around 11 AM to transfer to the pier (1 hour). Then continue by boat with a light lunch served on board. Self-paddle with your own sea cave guide through tunnels and lagoons.
When darkness falls, stars shine overhead in the circle of the black night, fireflies flash in the cliffside jungle, and most of all, the sea glows with phosphorescence. Enjoy a spiritual ceremony with your own made “Krathong”.
Have a magnificent dinner onboard. Then return to land. A truly magical and out of this world experience (Listed among National Geographic’s “World’s Top 50 Adventures”).

Day 7: Phuket | Phi Phi Island by Speedboat

Discover the spectacular limestone rock formations of Phi Phi Island. Stop on a lovely island with great white sandy beaches. A great spot to lay down and relax at the beach. Or go snorkeling in the beautiful reef around the island.

Day 8: Phuket – Chiang Mai | Flight to Chiang Mai

You’ll transfer by flight to Chiang Mai. Upon arrival, our local guide will greet you at the airport and continue to the hotel for check-in.
The old city walls still stand formidably against the ravages of time, inviting pilgrims to come rest, and explore the lost treasures of the Lanna Kingdom. Established as the capital in 1296AD of the vast “Kingdom of a Million Rice Fields”, Chiang Mai carries a heritage lurking around every quiet cobble-stone alley and corridor. These days, cafes, boutiques, pubs, and spas are auspiciously peppered throughout, while colorful Meo and Akha hill tribes make their daily ritual visit to the valley to offer their hand made tapestries and handicrafts to curious adventurers. The Ping River weaves through the valley to the East of the Old City while a peaceful moat surrounds the time-worn walls.

Day 9: Chiang Mai | Befriending the Gentle Giants of Asia

Today, you will join a tour to an elephant sanctuary in the jungles near Chiang Mai by 4WD truck (2-hour transfer). First, you’ll learn about the project and hear the amazing stories of each rescued and orphaned elephant. Learn how they became a proud herd free from abuse and misuse. Then have an opportunity to feed them. Next enjoy a picnic spread. Then take a stroll with the herd to the nearby river. Here you will have the opportunity to observe or participate in bathing the elephants with the sanctuary staff.
After you have said your farewells, return back to the hotel for some leisure time.

Day 10: Chiang Mai | Chiang Mai Highlights | Hill Tribes and Sunset at Doi Suthep

In the morning, visit the most prominent temples in Chiang Mai. Start with Wat Phra Singh which houses the famous Phra Singh Buddha image. It features Lanna art throughout and illustrates many famous Buddhist stories. Continue on to Wat Chedi Luang, which once contained the Emerald Buddha. The temple is partially in ruins due to an earthquake in the 1500s. Then stop at Wat Chiang Man which is the oldest temple in Chiang Mai and also houses one of Thailand’s greatest treasures: the Crystal Buddha.
Then continue to Wat Suan Dok, which houses many of the remains of generations of the old Chiang Mai Royal Family. Finally, visit Wat Jet Yot – this peaceful temple is surrounded by green and was built in the Mahabodhi style from India to house the Eighth World Buddhist Council in 1453.
In the afternoon, go to visit Wat Umong – an ancient cave temple with secret tunnels and a small lake. Then you’ll transfer up the snakey road of Suthep Mountain to visit a Meo hill tribe village. Have the opportunity to see their unique apparel and simple way of living. Meo families take a great deal of pride in their herbal gardens. Continue Wat Doi Suthep with its sky-piercing golden chedi (Pagoda) for a beautiful sunset.

The first destination is Wat Phra Kaew, the chapel of the Emerald Buddha, which houses the world’s most famous image of Buddha. The 75cm statue of jade sits atop an 11m golden pedestal surrounded by lavish murals and richly decorated pavilions. Next, you’ll visit The Grand Palace which encompasses several major buildings. The most prominent include The Throne Hall, The Reception Hall, and The Coronation Hall.
Then, you’ll visit Wat Traimit, the temple of the golden Buddha. It weighs 5.5 tons of solid gold and was sculptured in the Sukhothai style. At the end of the tour, you’ll be escorted to the hotel for check-in and the rest of the day at leisure.

In the morning, transfer by a flight to Siem Reap. Upon arrival, our local guide will greet and meet you and transfer to your hotel for check-in.
Siem Reap is a quaint town in Cambodia and the gateway to the vast remains of the Angkor empire. Discover the Royal Gardens on your own with ancient trees home to a colony of giant fruit bats. Take a stroll along the scenic riverside and visit the night markets to find unique souvenirs. You may also want to spend the evening with a visit to Pub Street with several restaurants and bars that stay open late into the night. Many restaurants have live entertainment in the evening.
In the afternoon, take a trip to the largest lake in Southeast Asia, the Tonle Sap. You’ll take a boat ride to Kampong Phluk which means, Harbor of the Tusks due to it’s history in the elephant trade several centuries ago. You’ll also see the mangrove forests nearby. After the tour, you’ll return to your hotel to relax for the rest of the day.
