Day 1: Chiang Mai | Start Mae Hong Son Loop Tour, Discover Doi Inthanon National Park
Note: This itinerary of Mae Hong Son Loop tour to the northern Chiang Mai will start and end in Chiang Mai. This adventure itinerary could be customized base on your actual travel schedule, combine with arrival and departure flights, or other parts of Thailand. You will meet your local guide and driver in hotel lobby at 8:30am in the morning. Then you will start the full day excursion to Doi Inthanon National Part.
First, you travel along the scenic road to the top of Doi Inthanon mountain peak (8,514 ft). It is the highest mountain peak of Thailand. Enjoy the stunning panoramic mountain view and discover some interesting places, remarkable flowering rhododendrons, rare birds and butterflies around.
Enjoy lunch at local restaurant, then we will drive back to Chiang Mai. On the way back, you will stop to visit a waterfall, local ethnic hill tribe village and temple for the holy relics in Chomthong.

Day 2: Chiang Mai – Hmong Hilltribe Lodge | Elephant Treking Through Jungle & Discover Mae Tang River
Meals: Breakfast ,
After breakfast, we will start your exploration to the mountainous area in northern Chiang Mai by a 4-WD Land Rover (or similar). Visit the hill tribe museum and local market in Mae Malai. Then continue to Ban Mae Taman of Mae Tang for the elephant ride follow by a ride on the ox-cart.
After a picnic lunch, you will embark on the inflatable rafts for an adventurous journey down the rapids in the white-water and scenic Mae Tang River for about an hour (the trip can be more or less dependable on the season).
In the afternoon, continue by four- wheeler to Ban Pang Hai, a simple village situated 850 metres above sea level. Then check in at the Hmong Hill Tribe Lodge for overnight stay. Enjoy the barbecue dinner with cultural presentations and a restful night.

Day 3: Ban Pang Hai | Trekking to Discover Ethnic Hill Tribe Villages and Mountain Biking.
Meals: Breakfast
After breakfast, you will drive to a small village of Ban Teen Doi where you take a short stroll to Ban Mae Pa. Then get into action by mountain biking to Ban Palan. Continue your visit the small village reservoir and continue biking to Ban Pong Kwaw, where is an old temple with beautiful wall paintings.
After a picnic lunch, driven by car to Ban Pok, Ban Pang Kwai and Ban Nong Hoi Mai on the mountainous roads. Then you will get into action again by trekking or mountain biking from Ban Nong Hoi Mai to Mae Khi village. In Mae Khi Ville, you will enjoy coffee or tea in the Hmong’s kitchen.
At the end of the day, return to Hmong Hilltribe Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Ban Pan Hai – Mae Hong Son | Discover Long Net Karen Hill Tribe.
Meals: Breakfast
After breakfast, you will depart on a full day excursion to Pai via Ban Wat Chan. The journey will take you through countless steep hills, forests and hill tribe villages. En-route, you will have a short stop to visit Luang Mae Saab Cave.
Upon arrival at Wat Chan, you will have lunch in a local restaurant. Then continue by car to Ban Huey Tong and Ban Huey Pu Loei to observe the farmers, mostly Karen tribe, pounding the rice and weaving clothes using manual simple equipments.
Check in Golden Pai Resort and dinner at Bai Fern Restaurant, then enjoy a restful evening.

Day 5: Chiang Rai – Chiang Mai | Elephant Safari and the Kok River
Meals: Breakfast , Lunch
Today, you will get up early and visit to early fresh local market. You will observe the local making merit by offering food to monks. Then return to hotel for breakfast.
After breakfast, enjoy a tour in the city of Mae Hong Son. You will visit Wat Phra Thart Doi Kong Moo for a panoramic view of the valleys. Then continue your visit to Wat Jong Kham, Wat Jong Klang, and Burmese-style ancient temples.
Then you will depart Mae Hong Son for Ban Nai Soi to visit the Khaya. Khaya is known as long-necked Padong Tribe. On the way, stop at Phu Kloann Country Club to observe the health treatment and therapeutic.
Upon arrive in Ban Rack Thai, you will enjoy lunch in local restaurant. Ban Rak Thai is the former settlement of Chinese Imperial Army (Kok Min Tang) fighting against the Chinese Communist Army refusing to surrender and returning to China. It is famous for its tasty Yunan dishes and Chinese teas.
In the afternoon, continue to Lod Cave where the river runs through the cave from one side of the mountain to the other.
Finally, you will reach Pai and check in at hotel.

Day 6: Chiang Mai | Temple Heritages of Chiang Mai
Meals: Breakfast
After breakfast, you will explore Pai town visit Wat Nam Hoo, where water coming out from the Buddha image’s head. Then to Wat Hua Na which known for local arts in the rice fields. Continue your visit to Mor Pang Waterfall, enjoy the Tha Pai Hotspring. Finally visit the historical Iron Bridge built during World War II by Japanese troops stationed at Pai.
Return to Pai and enjoy lunch.
After lunch depart Pai for Chiang Mai and transfer to the Chiang Mai airport.
