Day 1: Welcome to Vietnam | Arrive in Hanoi

International Flight: Excluded

Welcome to Vietnam! Upon arrival, our guide will greet you at the airport and escort you to Intercontinental Hanoi Westlake. Check into their Overwater Panoramic Room. It is set on stilts with a balcony viewing the scenic West Lake and featuring dark timber furniture and upgraded amenities. You’ll receive a short tour briefing in the lobby and then are at your leisure for the evening.

Day 2: Hanoi | City Highlights of Vietnam’s Capital

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Hanoi is the capital city of Vietnam and the country’s cultural heart.  During the morning, visit the Tran Quoc Pagoda, a 1,400-year-old temple. In addition, the pagoda features ten tiers surrounded by gardens. It also hosts a Bodhi tree grown from a cutting of Buddha’s original Bodhi tree of meditation. Next, you’ll take a stroll around the Hoan Kiem Lake where you can see the Tortoise Tower. Then enjoy a half hour cyclo tour through the Old Quarter in Hanoi.

During the afternoon, visit the One Pillar Pagoda. It was built by a 9th-century emperor who saw it in a dream. Due to this, he regarded the dream as a divine inspiration to recreate the structure in the vision. Then stop in front of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum to see its unique architecture. Continue to visit the highlight of the day – The Temple of Literature. This ancient university was erected almost a millennium ago. Also, it has hosted many of the most prominent scholars through Vietnamese history.

At the end of the day, enjoy a traditional Vietnamese Water Puppetry Show followed by a Welcome Dinner.

Day 3: Hanoi –Halong Bay| Luxury Halong Bay Cruise

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

After breakfast, transfer to Halong Bay, one of the Wonders of the Orient.

Your heavenly journey across Halong Bay starts around noon on Tuan Chau Island. Enjoy checkin to the privileged Terrace Suite, one of only two per ship(subject to availability).

During the afternoon, discover some of the treasures spread out across the Bay of the Descending Dragon. During which, you will enjoy fascinating caves, picturesque floating villages, and fantastic rock formations rising up out of emerald water.

Day 4: Halong Bay – Danang | Halong Bay Cruise, Fly to Danang

Meal: Breakfast

Wake up to Tai Chi exercises on the sun deck. Then a breakfast buffet will be served in the restaurant. Next you will visit a limestone grotto. Disembark in Halong City around noon and return to Hanoi.

During the afternoon, you will fly to Danang. When you arrive, our guide will greet you at the airport. Then transfer to Fusion Maia Resort.  Check in at their Pool Villa with a private pool and courtyard garden. Fusion Maia Resort includes for guests an hour of massage every day from their beach spa with each night stayed.

Day 5: Hoi An | 4^th Century Cham Ruins and Hoi An Ancient Town

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch

In the morning, you’ll transfer to My Son Holy Land. Tucked in the mountains up winding roads with serene views, lay the 4th century My Son ruins. The surrounding mountains are strictly forbidden from living or development. The ruins lay in a beautiful mountainous landscape. You’ll enter the temples while your tour guide gives you the history and stories of the Cham and the site.

In the afternoon, you’ll continue to visit Hoi An Ancient Town. This town features the 16th century once bustling port town in its preserved state. Visit the historic sites in the town, and enjoy a cyclo tour along the roads and lanes in this beautiful town.

Day 6: Danang – Saigon | Cu Chi Tunnels & Impressions of Saigon City

Meal: Breakfast, Dinner

Enjoy relaxing time at the beach in the morning. Then take a flight to Saigon.

When you arrive in Saigon, our guide will greet you at the airport. Next, take your adventures underground for a lesson in history you won’t forget. Visit to the Cu Chi Tunnels . Discover these amazingly complex underground systems developed by the guerrillas due to their fighting in the Vietnam War.

During the rest of the day, enjoy a city discovery in downtown Saigon for its signature sites. During you will see the Notre Dame Cathedral and Old Post Office. Finally, take a walk to Ben Thanh Market to discover local daily life.

In the evening, enjoy dinner cruise on the Saigon river.  It is one of the most relaxing ways to take in the Saigon city lights.

Day 7: Saigon | Mekong Delta Discovery

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch

Today, explore the Mekong Delta around My Tho. This capital rests in the center of the delta. Most notably, it is surrounded by a beautiful countryside known as the “rice basket of Vietnam”.

First, visit Vinh Trang Pagoda. The pagoda is decorated with mosaics made from broken pottery. It is set among lovely gardens packed with flowers, lotus pools, and ornate gates.

Then take a boat ride along the Mekong river to view the stilted houses, fruit plantations, and fishing villages. After lunch, visit An Khanh. It is a small village on an island with fruit orchards and coconut sweets. If time permits, you can take a short cycling trip through the island. During the afternoon, enjoy seasonal fruit, honey tea, and delicious coconut candies. Meanwhile, listen to the sound of “Southern Vietnamese folk music” performed by locals.

Return to Saigon after the tour.

Day 8: Saigon | Departure
